Requirements of data networks in the automobile, layer model, architectures and properties of serial bus systems, protocols, bus access methods, conduction codes, error handling, presentation of selected bus systems for the automobile, standardization, network management, design tools.


Hybridantriebe / Hybrid Propulsion Systems (Noreikat) SS:

General conditions for hybrid propulsion systems. Presentation of the different types of hybrid propulsion systems (Parallel, Serial, Power split, Plug In, Range Extender, General electromobility) Operational requirements on the key components: internal combustion engine, electric motor, power electronics and battery. Introduction to operating strategy for optimal fuel efficiency and comfort. Presentation of completed hybrid vehicles.

System terminology in the motor vehicle, energy electrical system, interior electronics and networks (comfort electronics, access authorization systems, driver information, electronics architecture), requirements of system developers in the automotive industry, future of automotive electronics.


Qualität automobiler Elektroniksysteme / Quality of Automotive Electronics Systems (Hettich) SS:

Today, the quality of electronic systems is a decisive factor in the use of the extensive functions in motor vehicles. &One important aspect is the interaction of vehicle functions via electrical/electronic as well as non-electronic interfaces. &This results in a networked arrangement with high complexity that must be mastered by tomorrow's automotive engineer.& For this reason, the lecture will discuss practice-based processes and methods that lead to reliability and availability of electronic systems in the motor vehicle despite the complexity.


Simulationstechnik / Simulation Technology (Sawodny) WS:

Methods and applications for computer simulation of dynamic systems; continuous simulation models in mechatronics/control engineering; discrete wait-operate models for partial processes and dynamic analysis of simulation models; computational solution of algebraic equations; computational solution of common differential equations with starting and boundary conditions; error organization, stability; convergence; simulation tools: MATLAB/SIMULINK; SIMAN/ARENA; application examples on PCs with MATLAB/SIMULINK and SIMAN/ARENA.

Analog signal processing: fundamentals (signals, spectrums, complex alternating current calculation, bi-poles, four-poles, networks), components (semiconductors, operational amplifiers), operational amplifier applications (linear, non-linear, dynamic computing circuits; controllers, active filters), signal acquisition, performance electronics, modulation.


Echtzeit-Datenverarbeitung / Real-time Data Processing (Wehlan) WS:

Digital electronics, coding, sequential circuits, PLDs, VLSI applications. D/A, A/D converter, sensing systems (quantization noise, sampling theorem, oversampling). Systems for real-time DP: structure elements (LIFO, FIFO, interrupt, DMA, memory management, cache), interfaces (synchronization, error protection), examples of systems (signal processor, FFT, process management system). Software: process, real-time languages, real-time operating systems, synchronization, communication, PEARL. Digital filters and controllers.


Softwaretechnik II / Software Technology II (Göhner):

Fundamentals of the software development process: Different procedure models of the software development, software development methods and software development tools, procedures in the individual phases of requirements engineering, system analysis, software design, implementation and test of a software project. Project management and documentation as supplementary topics.
